With redundancy you're suddenly expected to make big decisions about your future, your finances and your career while the process moves quickly around you.
Most people go through redundancy only once or twice in their working lives. The organisation on the other side of the table has usually done it many times before. That imbalance is where people lose out: they accept the first offer, miss the questions worth asking or agree terms before they've had time to think.
I've sat on the other side of that table. As an HR Director and Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, I've designed and led redundancy processes. I know how they are structured, where there is flexibility and what a well-prepared employee looks like. As an EMCC-accredited coach, I help you turn that insight into confidence, so you can go into every conversation clear about what you want and how to ask for it.
"Chloe’s advice, support and guidance was instrumental in both navigating an emotionally charged situation as well as gaining a better deal. Through the calls and emails I was able to leave all the emotions of the situation behind to allow for a firm, controlled and fair outcome when discussing with HR.
This would have been impossible without Chloe’s wealth of knowledge, especially in drawing out what I wanted when I didn’t know. I’m grateful for all that Chloe did and not hesitate to recommend her."
Risk Manager, Energy Sector
Professionals and leaders facing possible, proposed or confirmed redundancy who want an experienced, independent person in their corner.
A focused, confidential session to understand where you are in the process, what's likely to happen next, and where you may have room to improve your position. You'll leave with a clear plan and your priority questions for your employer.
Tip: many employers will contribute to coaching or outplacement support as part of an exit package. It's always worth asking, and I can help you frame that request.
I'm not a solicitor and I don't provide legal advice. My role is to bring HR expertise and coaching support to your situation, and to help you get the best from any legal adviser you work with. Where a legal view is needed, I'll always tell you.
